A suana will cause you to loose water weight, up to about 10 pounds normally. But, this is weight you will put back on as your rehydrate. Don’t look at the sauna as a means of permanent weight loss, it won’t work.

Time in a sauna has to be built up and is dependant on your heat tolerance. I do not advise staying in longer than 5 minutes until you can begin to do so without feeling pressure in your ears. Ear pressure is a sign that your body is under heavy stress, the kind that heat brings on. You may be able to stay longer as you get used to the heat, but do not hesitate to get out if you feel short of breath, light headed, sleepy or you feel pressure in your ears or they begin to ring. The length of time that you can stay inside will be up to your personal physiology, no one elses. Go with a buddy, it’ll help pass the time and keep you both aware of your limitations.

    I hope this helps.

Saunas WOULD help you lose weight; but only temporarily. What a sauna does is it causes you to sweat, which takes the water from your body; basically, you lose water-weight. It is not good for you to be in a sauna for two long (I personally get over-heated after 5 minutes.) If you were to spend time in a sauna, I would recommend that you rehydrate yourself (drink a lot of water) otherwise you will get terribly dehydrated. Good luck!

NO…You will never loose fat in a sauna. Exercise is the only thing for helping with weight loss. The sauna helps soften the skin and release water weight that many people get while exercising . SO NO IT WILL NOT WORK!!!
