jens and cristel uhl alonsgide debarras and noel redding really put clonakilty on the irish musical map in the late 90′s. whilst debarras offered up a great venue, crowd and gigs, jens and cristel then took things to a new level with tehir big warm hearts and amazing hospitality. no trip to within a huge roar of cork became complete without visiting their wonderful home. it doesn’t stop with west cork as every year for years jens has been arranging for irish acts to go and play in the czech republic and slovakia and has opened up huge routes which would have been unimaginable without him. it’s a truly remarkable story of alliances and friendships formed well before eu enlargement! these videos, the uhls sauna sessions, are the frames jamming out what were then brand new songs (and one cover version), the day after headlining in a marquee in cork in may 2002. big love to jens and cristel and conor and ciaran xxxxx
