Sauna Suit vs. Cardio ?

i hate cardio ! it’s so boring , i’d rather pound out 8-10 reps of heavy weight than get on a treadmill..i bought a sauna suit , i wore it everyday last week during my 1 hour workouts..i sweated twice as much as i would walking/jogging for 30 mins..my question is am i getting the same fat burning benefits from the sauna suit as i would 30-40 mins of cardio 3-4 times a week ?

    NO!! All you are doing is dehydrating yourself.

    No, you’re forcing liquid. As soon as you drink a couple glasses of water, the weight is back. Sauna suits can also raise your core body temperature to dangerous levels (think of high school athletes dying during summer training).

    I agree cardio is boring. I hate to exercise. That’s why I developed the Kimkins Diet that works super fast with absolutely no exercise. None.

    You can still do the heavy reps (to the point of fatigue) to build muscle, but weight lifting burns very few calories.

    No. You will burn fat definitally but it will take much longer. Sauna mosty burn off any water you are retaining in your body first. That’s all your sweating off. To burn fat youd have to sit in there for a couple hours which is NOT recommended because you can become severly dehydrated and fatigued among other problems. Cardio can come in many other forms. You don’t have to run. Walk, rollerblade, ice skate, martial arts, areobics, skiing, and even sex. There are many ways to burn fat than running.

    All you are doing by wearing the sauna suit is losing water, it is a minor amount of extra calories that you are burning. If you want more out of your cardio and be able to do is less often, then you have to increase your intensity. Another thing to do is to change your workouts. If you do an upper body exercise immediately followed by a lower body exercise and only give yourself 60sec or less of rest, then you keep your heart rate up. People have a misconception that cardio means getting on a treadmill or riding a bike, if you keep your heart rate up while lifting you are accomplishing the same goal.

    Nope. You’re not burning an ounce of fat with the sauna suit. It looks like it because you are losing water weight, but it comes right back. Those things are only good for a quick fix, like if you have to wear a bikini tomorrow.
