Is It Possible to Build a Combined Sauna and Steamroom?
I am looking at installing either a sauna or steamroom in my home but finding it a difficult decision which way to go so was wondering if the two could somehow be combined. I understand a sauna is a dry heat with timber internals whilst a steamroom is a moist heat with tiled internals. This would suggest both different heating methods and internals would be required so would appear to be difficult to achieve.

Not without a division
There is a product called Sanarium by Klafs (see sauna-spa.co.uk). It hads humidity into a controlled way. It doesn’t give you an exact steam bath but a combined unit. You can use it as a sauna or a sanarium so you have a multifunction room.
It’s the closest you’ll get. Technically you can’t combine the two but this is fairly close.
