How Does Sitting in a Sauna Help You Lose Weight?

Would a really hot bath do the same thing?

A sauna makes you sweat so you lose water weight, but it’s phony weight loss because you gain that right back when you drink a glass of water after you get out. Saunas are relaxing but not an effective weight loss measure.

You sweat, and what you lose is water weight.

You lose body fluids from sweating. No a bath wouldn’t be the same cause it won’t stay hot as long as a sauna

The weight you lose in a sauna is basically water, and you will gain it back immediately after you rehydrate yourself.

Of course, sauna is good for cleaning your pores through the large amount of perspiration produced, but don’t rely on it to help you lose weight.

It’s a loss of water weight, meaning it’s very temporary. Soon as you drink or eat something, the weight loss is negated. Don’t use sitting in a sauna as a weight loss tool.

Using the sauna decreases your fluid fat while also decreasing your body fat!! The high heat pressure from the sauna causes constant sweating!

You sweat and lose your water weight – it’s not a very effective method…

As soon as you drink again, your body stores the water it lost in the sauna and you’re back to your old weight again.

Sauna helps slightly to rid your body of some toxins; but just results IN WATER WEIGHT LOSS & no fat burned.

You might try swimming before or afer your sauna as a form of exercise. Only people in good use should use a sauna; if any doubt give the doctor a call.

you loose sweat from all the heat which in turn makes you loose weight, but you immedietly gain that weight back when you drink a fluid. You loose sweat everytime that you do something active so in turn you loose more weight from water then calories, but you gain the water weight right away after you drink.

It opens the pores, and you sweat alot, but, most of it is water weight. I go to the gym on a regular basis, and have found the sauna to be good for the pores, but, it, in and of itself, does not help much if you’re not working out and putting the effort forth to shed the pounds.
