There are different types of infrared heater types, and those used to warm suckling animals or birds in the zoo is one among them.

Infrared heaters have long since been used in the industrial manufacturing process where high temperatures are needed, heating is needed fast and specific areas are needed to be heated separately or in a targeted way.

Though Infrared heaters are theoretically 100% efficient, there are still factors that affect how they work. To ensure full efficiency, you have to make sure that the absorption spectrum of the product or material to be heated matches the emitted wavelength of the infrared heater.

Infrared is a type of light, often used to keep baby birds warm.

It does NOT heat the air, just the surface of the items it shines on.

They are not very efficient or comfortable when used as a FURNACE.

Instead of going into detail about them, Lets say just forget about them as a form of heat ( unless your a baby bird ). Not practical or economical. Save yourself the time and headache.
