Has Anyone Lost Weight With an Infrared Sauna?

I just recently heard about this. I have been dieting and exercising and I have lost 21 pounds. I was just thinking if anyone has really lost weight doing this, then maybe I could speed up my efforts. Please, I don’t want to offend anyone, but I would only like to hear from people who have had any experience with it. Thank you for your understanding and for any help I can get.

You can lose weight in a sauna – infrared or otherwise – and not just water weight.

A team of Japanese researchers published the results of a study they did in 2003. They found that regular sauna bathing helped with weight loss in obese subjects and weight gain in underweight subjects. They believe that this comes from the heat of the sauna helping the brain better regulate its appetite control center.

The only weight you will lose from any kind of sauna is a few ounces from perspiration. Weight loss comes from the body converting and metabolizing fat.

First off you shold not even try this method, if you want to experience it beforehand, buy a regular sauna suit from like walmart or a sports store. You’ll look like a total idiot but it is exactly like being in a sauna. The only reason you’ll drop weight is from water leaving your body (aka sweating) however as soon as you start to drink water and fluids, that weight will go back on because your muscles are water and need the fluids in order to function normally. I personally have done this sauna but only to be in a certain weight class. I also am an athlete so I know the secret to keeping the pounds off. If you want an easier way to lose water weight, bathe in epson salt.

Yes, you do lose proper weight in the infrared sauna, and if you properly use it the weight loss can be achieved fast also. You never get that with a steam sauna, it has to be infrared.
