Does Profuse Sweating Aid in Weight Loss?

Purchased a sauna suit from walmart. Wore it last year and sweated lots! Pulled it out this year and was just wondering others result/comments

    The pattern for losing weight is easy – eat less and workout more often – the difficulties arise when we in reality try to put that into practice! There are plenty of temptations out there don’t you think?! I found some good advice by following the site in the box below, they have plenty of tips, I worked off 10 pounds by following their techniques.

    i don’t know about it sweating away pounds, maybe after awhile, but it does help sweat out the toxins in your body which would help a lot.

    Hey Sexy, any weight you lose from sweating in a regular sauna or a sauna suit will be a temporary loss. The minute you drink liquid again, and you need liquid to survive, the weight will return. You are not losing fat, just water.

    Yes it will, but only very temporarily. The fluid lost will be regained as soon as you have a drink. Boxers often do this to "make weight" before a boxing match, but it’s really not good for the body.

    yah it helps with the amount of water weight you have.

    more you sweat = less water weight = less weight.

    Sweating will result in weight loss in that you are losing water.

    However, exercise, which causes sweating, causes weight loss.

    The suit, in addition to causes water weight loss, may aid in increasing metabolism. May.

    all you are doing is loosing water which is the main ingredient in muscles. So, you are loosing the weight of water, but you are not loosing the fat. If all you are doing is sitting and sweating, then you are just dehydrating yourself which is unhealthy. The only thing that works is diet and excercise. Everything else is a scam. Eat right, and get a membership to the gym. Drink lots of water and do anaerobic cardio as well as lifting weights. Keep pushing yourself. Here is a guy that has helped me. I am not trying to sell his product though. I have just seen major results in the past 12 weeks on his program.

    No, profuse sweating doesn’t aid in weight loss. What you lose is water weight…and you should put it right back on when you rehydrate. The sweat you lose needs to be replenished or else you’ll get dehydrated and suffer the consequences.

    Sorry, there’s no shortcut. Get off the couch and do something.
