Can You Really Loose Weight My Spending Time in the Sauna?

I heard that sweating while exercising means that you’re loosing weight. Since saunas make you sweat, am I correct in saying that saunas make you loose weight?

The only people who use the sauna to lose weight are poeple like wrestlers or fighters who have to "make weight" prior to a fight. You are only losing "water weight" which comes right back when you drink water… which you will be desparate to do after a sauna session. Wrestlers wait until their weigh in, then they re-hydrate and gain the weight back.

The reason a work out makes you lose weight is not the sweating… its that your body has to burn something already inside you to produce the energy needed for the work out.

First it burns sugars and carbs… once that’s depleted it burns fat. Someone who does not exercise never burns all of the sugar and carbs… so the body turns them into fat.

Someone who works out regularly burns up most of their carbs and sugars… so they don’t gain any new fat.

In addition, muscle burns fat – so a more muscular person will burn more fat even while they sleep than a non-muscular person

To lose weight… stay away from sugar and "bad" carbs. So no more white bread, white rice or white pasta… and no more candy or ice cream. You can treat yourself if you work out regularly…. but if you go to the sauna regularly it won’t help you stop those sugars and carbs from turning to fat

YES. Me and my cousin used to go exercise for an hour..then we would sit in the sauna for 20 minutes…everymorning after that we would loose 1-2 lbs! Not even kidding!!

We also wrapped ourselves in saran wrap which held in heat..probably not the smartest thing, but it was hilarious and it worked!

No. Saunas are merely feelgood amusement.

Nope, I am going to the gim for 8 years, and i use sauna every time i go there. I tough i will lose weight but , no. The benefits of sauna is that you eliminate o lot of toxins and your body will work properly. Make sure take cold showers during sauna, and drink a lot of water.

It is just water weight which you will gain right back after you drink some water.
