Benefits and Uses of a Sauna?

I have a sauna in my house and it never gets used so i thought i might start taking advantage of it. but what benefits will I get out of using it?

I head it is good for weight loss but i am skinny and trying to put weight on for my sports so does this make it a bad idea for me to use it?

does it help clear up the skin? and does any1 use their sauna’s in summer?

It’s nice and relaxing. I don’t think it clears up the skin, I would need some evidence to believe that.

The sauna makes you lose weight because you sweat out a lot when you are in there. It is not uncommon to weight 5lbs less because you lost a lot of water weight. However, your body will then be looking for more water, and you will probably be back to your original weight by the end of the day.

it is good for weightloss….but its a very slow proccess

so it wouldn’t really matter anyway

yea it does clear up the skin but it also makes your pores bigger….so after useing the sauna wash your face with icey or cold water to close your pores up

i use it occasionally in the winter but never in the summer
